Ground Construction, a leading company in the construction industry, approached Granite 5 with a requirement to develop their three interlinked websites. The objective was to create a cohesive online presence that distinctly showcased their various divisions while maintaining a unified brand identity.

The project involved creating:

  • Ground Construction website: An umbrella website to present the Ground Construction’s core values, history, and overarching brand identity.
  • Tower Cranes website: A specialised site focused on their tower cranes division, showcasing the products and services related to cranes.

    Key requirements

    Ground Construction had specific requirements for the project:

    Consistent look and feel: All three websites needed to have a uniform website design to ensure visitors could recognize them as part of the same company.

    Visual emphasis: The sites should be highly visual, leveraging the client’s high-quality imagery and videos, particularly the impressive drone footage.

    Modular design: The websites needed to be built using a modular approach, enabling the client to add or remove blocks and create new landing pages independently.

    Ease of product management: Products, such as cranes, should be easily added through the backend without requiring developer intervention.

    Empowerment for self-service: The client should be able to make most updates and changes themselves, minimising the need for ongoing developer support.

    G5 adopted a strategic approach to meet the client’s requirements, focusing on several key areas:

    • Provided a user-friendly interface for creating and customising landing pages, empowering the client to adapt the website to their needs without technical assistance.

    • Developed a backend system where products could be added with a single click, streamlining the process and eliminating the need for developer input.
    • Implemented a content management system (CMS) that was intuitive and easy to use, ensuring the client could manage updates and content changes independently.

    • Focused on creating a visually appealing and intuitive website that highlighted the client’s products and services in an easily digestible manner.
