Top marks for Academy's new website
27/04/2012
Bourn’s outstanding primary school in South Cambridgeshire has recently become an Academy – and has a new Granite 5-developed website to reflect its special status.
The website has been completely redesigned and developed by Granite 5 and now runs on the WordPress platform – giving the school a very cost-effective site with greater flexibility for updating its content.
The Granite 5 project encompassed various elements, including:
• a new “acorn” logo for use on the website, school signage, business cards and stationery
• a fresh new design for the website
• a content restructure
• customising the WordPress software with various plug-ins
• training for the website administrators and users.
Said head teacher Christine Page: “We have been working with Granite 5 for a number of years and while this latest rebranding involved a lot of different strands by various team members and associates, project manager Inga Spouse did a wonderful job in pulling everything together.
“We also knew that support was just up the road if and when we needed it.”
“We have had very encouraging feedback. Parents say how easy the site is to navigate and find information. And from a housekeeping point of view, the new site is faster and more flexible – allowing us to update our weekly reviews, newsletters, fund-raising events and pictures very easily.”
